Rundle Mall is Bouncing Back

After more than two years of restrictions, lockdowns and stay-at-home orders, our CBD traders are breathing a sigh of relief as people return to Rundle Mall. Living in a post-pandemic world has meant the way we live, socialise and move about the world has permanently changed. With many getting used to shopping online during state-wide lockdowns and personal quarantines, our CBD traders weren’t sure what to expect once restrictions eased.

According to InDaily, Rundle Mall Executive Manager Andrew White said “there has been an upwards shift in shopping behaviour in Rundle Mall over the last few months compared to visitation during the height of the pandemic… shoppers are spending more time exploring Rundle Mall, visiting various stores, enjoying the various events and activations, and enjoying a day out.” Find out more from InDaily here.

InsideRetail further revealed “SA’s retail spending is growing faster than anywhere else, reaching $2.1 billion in May says White.” Find out more from InsideRetail, here.

Rundle Mall is offering brands considering entering the South Australian market a significant opportunity to capitalise on the Adelaide CBD momentum.

Tenancies in the mall are running low with new stores JD Sports and Glue Store now open.

We are also looking forward to welcoming Japanese Fashion Brand, Uniqlo, to the Myer Centre before the year’s end, which is sure to draw even more traffic to the mall.
